I, Nicole Metscher, am the Founder and Director of  Solace Counseling & Associates. Dually licensed in the state of California as both a Marriage and Family Therapist & Clinical Psychologist, I have worked in the Mental Health field for over 20 years with children, adolescents, couples, families, and individuals. In addition to individual and family therapy, I have facilitated  assault survivor support groups, domestic violence survivor groups, parenting support groups and children’s groups. I served as the Head of Clinical Services for a Sacramento agency and has extensive experience working with children actively in foster care through reunification with his/her parents.  I also currently works as a part time supervisor with Woman Escaping a Violent Environment (WEAVE)  in Sacramento.

As a Clinical Psychologist & Marriage Family Therapist (MFT), I have spent the last 20 years inspiring hope, growth and change for a fulfilling life. Although we may not have  control of every experience in life, I believe  that we do have the power to change our future for the better regardless of our current circumstances.  I believe that everyone wants to feel loved and accepted.  It is my goal to inspire individuals by helping him/her process past and current events that may be hindering their ability to move forward.  Psychotherapy can help to decrease symptoms of worry, sadness, trauma, anger, and grief.  Please take a moment to explore my website and the services I have to offer. You are worth it!

I offer free email consultations to assess if therapy is right for you.  If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
